He has a typical golden retriever nature; friendly loving and a eagerness to please. He is also 24" to the shoulder and weighs 31kg. He lives about an hour from us and I can put you in touch with his owner so can see him if you wish. We expect the puppes from this litter to be between 24"26" to the shoulder and 25 35kg when fully grown. The puppies were born in our living room and are being lovingly raised in our home where we will wait on them hand and foot until the day they leave and provide them with the love, care and attention they need to develop. They will be well socialised and confident by the time they leave for their new homes. The pups will get to meet people of all ages and we also have three other dogs for them to interact with. They will be weaned on a combination of quality raw food and quality grain free food to give them best start in life possible and to give you the owner a choice of which food to continue with. Puppies will come with a contract, copies of parents health tests, vaccination card, microchip, worming treatment pups will be wormed and flead to date, your choice of raw or grain free food and a few extra bits to help them settle into their new homes. The key to successful housebreaking is consistency; preventing "accidents" is key. Once a puppy soils the carpeting, it becomes much more difficult to train them out of that behavior. Here's a good rule of thumb to consider: a puppy can hold his bladder just one hour for every month they've been alive. For instance, a 3 month old puppy will need to empty his bladder every three hours! Before you adopt a Goldendoodle puppy, ask yourself if you are available to walk your dog several times throughout the day, and if you have the patience and commitment to wake up and take him out first thing every morning at the same time, and stick to a strict schedule. Of course, before you can walk him at all, you will need to train him to walk on a leash, which is a project in itself. On the other hand, an adult dog's bladder is already fully developed. Shelter dogs are often already housetrained and Goldendoodle rescue groups can tell you if their adult dogs for adoption are housebroken before they go into your home. You also have the advantage of knowing that your dog is physically able to "hold it" for several hours at a stretch. In most cases, adult dogs are by far easier to housebreak than puppies. You can teach an old dog new tricks!Puppy Behavior Sometimes Isn’t PleasantSure, Goldendoodle puppies are super cute, but simply put, puppies can be adorable, relentless machines of destruction. Even the most well behaved puppy will destroy shoes, clothing, paper, remote controls, telephones, leashes, dog beds, carpeting… anything and everything.

But, this is not the case, as you will not get an even ratio of dogs that have the same characteristics. The results from this breeding will be of some pups appearing more golden retriever, and the rest appearing more poodle. In the scenario, this breeding did not result in the desired designer breed result. It resulted in a mix breed litter. Whitney,I know this was written a number of years ago, but after recently getting a goldendoodle and seeing your comments telling people to just go to the pound to get a mix if you want a mix I think its just rude and untrue!if you go back and look at the history of purebred dogs, where did they come from? Many of them were intentional cross breeds . a designer dog of their day if you will? What is a goldendoodle? An intentional cross breed to get a desired result. Thank you. 'nuff said. Some of us want a mix breed that has the benefits of a poodle and retrieve, the lower chance of problems from a mix breed, and from a reputable breeder, enabling us to look at the history of the parents so we can estimate the chance of genetic disease or other problems carried through. Just going to the pound to get any old mix breed dog is not the same, you shouldn't be so ignorant to truly think it is. We have an amazing Goldendoodle!I spent a lot of time researching them before we decided to take the leap and purchase one.
